A Comprehensive Approach to Utilizing Breathwork in Rehabilitation is a three-day course will teach physical and occupational therapists how to incorporate breathwork most effectively into their respective practices.  This course will go into detail on the physiology underpinning ventilation, respiration, O2/CO2 exchange, and the micro and macro effects of various breathing styles, both functional and dysfunctional.  Participants will then learn how to conduct a multi-dimensional patient assessment to determine the appropriate breathing retraining program.  Additional learning topics will include nasal breathing retraining, the relationship between breathing, the heart, and the vagus nerve.  Participants will also learn how to utilize breathwork to help facilitate both improved athletic performance and mood regulation.
