A Biomechanical Model for Evaluation and Treatment of the Lumbar Spine and Pelvis

This three day seminar will focus on the evaluation and treatment of the lumbar spine and pelvis  using a biomechanical model as the basis for evaluation and treatment.  Emphasis will be placed on identifying specific areas of somatic dysfunction in the thoracolumbar spine and pelvis. Treatment procedures will include muscle energy technique, joint mobilization, and specific home exercises. Common patterns of lumbopelvic dysfunction and their clinical presentations will be discussed. Correlations of pathology (medical model) with the biomechanical findings will also be presented.
