Comprehensive Assessment and Treatment of the Pelvis

This three-day course focuses on the comprehensive assessment and treatment of pelvic dysfunction. After reviewing pelvic anatomy and biomechanics, participants will learn a systematic approach for evaluating pelvic dysfunction using five clinical skill sets: articular, neural, myofascial, visceral, and movement systems. Participants will learn how to determine if the primary dysfunction originates in the pelvis and how to differentiate between musculoskeletal ('hard frame') and visceral or neural ('soft frame') influences. The course integrates muscle energy techniques, mobilization with movement, mechanical link concepts, soft tissue and fascial techniques, visceral manipulation, neural mobilization, and specific exercise strategies to restore pelvic function. The relationship between the pelvis, lumbar spine, and hips is emphasized throughout to improve clinical reasoning and treatment outcomes.
